The PirateSoftware Game Jam community is great!

Maybe it's because a couple of decades have passed since my last game jam, or maybe I just lucked out, but the community surrounding Game Jam 16 has been great.

The support and conversations you get to have in the PirateSoftware Discord server's Game Jam channels is phenominal. I don't remember ever seeing a community this friendly, particularly to new game devs. Genre doesn't matter, creation engine doesn't matter, programming language doesn't matter, tool types don't matter. You'll get solid support and advice for these folks as you go on your jam-journey.

I think the only thing it's missing is a more advanced LFG (looking for group) system prior to jam start. It would be nice to have more than just a scrolling text medium and an unsorted digital post-it board when trying to find a group. A searchable, tagable medium that shows open team slots and open members LFG would be great. Just a little matching website, really. Otherwise it's incredibly easy to get lost in the shuffle.

Everything else is fantastic though. I appreciate the heck out of all the people who have provided feedback and encouragement along the way.

Next step: Judging!
